Charlottenburg Palace - Great Orangery
The Orangery at is a wonderful setting for a fabulous concert evening in an atmosphere of baroque splendour and soft candlelight but with up-to-date facilities. Every week from April to December, the Berlin Palace Orchestra - specially formed for this concert series - performs up to 6 concerts of the most beautiful music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Frederick the Great, Luigi Boccherini, Georg Friedrich Handel and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The orchestra and the front-of-house staff wear baroque costumes and the programme is performed by candlelight. Besides the concert, guests can enjoy a candlelit dinner in the historical setting of the Orangery illuminated by 500 candles. A tour of the palace or a boat trip on the river Spree rounds off the evening in style.
