There are many places to visit in Bremen; the Weser-Renaissance-style town hall, the Bremen Town Musicians from the Brothers Gremm fairytale The unusual architecture of the quaint Bottcherstrasse, the Schnoor – Bremens oldest quarter, the cathedral and the venerable figure of roland.
St. Peters Cathedral dates back to 1220 and is a mixture of many different archetectual styles the choir stalls where added in the year 1360 and the pulpit was added in 1638. The Cathedral museum burial objects found in 1973.
The Bremen’s Freimarkt fair begin in the autum and goes for seventeen days. Visitors and locals flock to the streets for Germanys oldest and third largest fair which attracts more than four million people to the Burgerweide near the old quarter. The hallmark of this celebration is watching the famous Freimarkt procession. |
