Places of interest

The spa assembly rooms and famously elegant casino form the focal point of the town, both architecturally and socially. In the spa park, the Lichtentaler Allee runs for several kilometres from the pump room to Lichtental Convent past the neo-baroque theatre. The old quarter is full of exclusive boutiques and cafés and is fully pedestrianized.

Baden is Germany's third-largest wine-producing region. The Baden Wine Route runs from Ortenau in the north, through Breisgau to the Kaiserstuhl and Tuniberg regions before converging - south of Freiburg - with the three routes of the Markgräflerland region . From Baden-Baden it runs in a southerly direction through the Rebland, Baden-Baden's wine-growing country. The route meanders through the vineyards and orchards in the foothills of the Black Forest and is lined with idyllic little wine-growing villages.

The Black Forest Panoramic Road
The B500 is a well-known panoramic road between Baden-Baden and Freudenstadt with fantastic views over dark pine forests and green valleys, waterfalls and romantic mountain lakes. There are many signposted trails for walkers.
